Greater Vancouver

There are a few other locations around Vancouver that have urban development. Although these locations are outside the greater downtown area, a few are still notable especially if views are something you are looking for.

Once one travels away from the core Downtown area, Vancouver takes on a very suburban feel. There are miles and miles of cute culdesac clad neighborhoods. But things are still trending towards a more dense development even in these more suburban neighborhoods.

Many urban and suburban condo projects exist outside the downtown area along the Columbia River.

Vancouver has plans for an urban density mixed use project that will cover the whole area around SE 192nd Avenue and SR-14. The initial ground work and infrastructure is currently underway. This is the Columbia Palisades and Riverview Gateway project.

Vancouver is also planning for urban redevelopment in the Heights with the Heights District in early planning stages.
