Uptown Vancouver is an eclectic mix of several neighborhoods including Hough, Arnada, and Midtown. The latter is a loose reference to the area along the Mill Plain corridor north of Downtown but south of Uptown (basically North of 13th Street, South of 16th Street).
The “Urban” portion of the Uptown area is largely relegated to the Broadway, Main Street, and Washington Street corridors through Uptown Village. Once off those three streets the neighborhoods are mostly vintage homes, Craftsman, Victorian, Queen Anne, etc. These are those classic Norman Rockwell neighborhoods with 
mature trees and the old school street grid, alley in the back type stuff. Even the single family homes in this area are still very walk-able and the proximity to downtown and uptown village qualify this as ‘Urban Living’.
